Hand Cast And Hand Painted Festive Tree
I hand cast and hand paint plaster items using silicone moulds. My process begins by picking one of my many moulds and hand mixing the correct plaster to water ratio for the moulds I've chosen. I personally mix it this way as I can feel the lumps easier. Once mixed, I quickly and carefully pour the mixture into each mould, working quickly as it's a fast setting plaster. Once they're set I demould and leave to fully dry. This can take anything between a few hours up to several days. Then it's time for the fun to begin, as I pick my colour pallete.

This stunning Christmas tree stands approximately 160 mm tall. The tree which has been cast in plaster from a silicone mould by myself is then painted with a base of dark green. It is then adorned with a mixture of hand cast leaves, flowers, pine cones, 'shrooms and snowflakes. Additionally, it has added berries and a bit of bling. This piece, is completely original and unique but commissioned pieces can be ordered with the customers individual specifications. The customer can choose any base colour and any additional extras. Please note that this tree is solid and therefore carries some weight. This item is available to post now. Any additional orders , will have a lead time of approximately 2/3 weeks.
