Handmade Leather Bookmark-copper Detail

Handmade leather tassel bookmark with copper dipped effect detail. Very tactile little gift - perfect for Father's Day or for the booklover in your life.

Genuine leather, hand cut and hot foil stamped to give copper dip effect. Due to the grain of the leather, the foil has an aged look which I think adds to the charm of the product.

Personalisation available - up to 8 letters, hot foil stamped in capital letters which are approx 6mm.

About Treacle Rose

Hi, I'm Heather and am just starting out in my small business.

I have always loved crafting, upcycling and home renovation programmes, books & magazines. After buying and renovating our own little house in the country, it has become a bit of an obsession, and I have managed to gather up a lot of craft supplies over the last few years, that "might come in useful some day".

After being made redundant at the end of 2019, I switched to part-time working and was determined to start making use of my hoard of supplies. I taught myself to crochet, tackled proper knitting patterns (not just my usual attempt at a scarf!) and made myself a few tops, a skirt and a pair of trousers with varying degrees of success.

With more time on my hands during the Covid lockdowns, I started thinking about how to make useful and eco-friendly products for myself, to give as gifts and that I could sell to other people who love hand-made goods.

Cotton crochet face-scrubbies were my first little project - a practical wee present for someone, or just for yourself.

To my sheer delight, I recently discovered that the 90s classic, the Scrunchie, has made a bit of a come back. This has been a brilliant way to make use of smaller pieces of fabric and turn them into something useful - everyone with long hair should have at least 1 to match every outfit !

Ear-warmers (crochet headbands) were my next project so I have a few of those on sale too. Hopefully they won't be needed for a month or 2 yet, but you just never know with our great British weather ...

I have also started working on some small personalised leather products - keyrings and bookmarks so far, with Father's Day in mind on 20th June. Hopefully some leather earrings will also follow soon.

During the past year making & crafting has kept me sane, kept me busy and kept me motivated. I am still finding my feet, but hope you will join me on my small business journey to see where it takes us.

Thanks for looking.

Heather x
